đ Innovation in Cybersecurity for Autonomous Vehicles with SELFY PROJECT!
SELFY PROJECT, a project funded under Programme Horizon Europe and coordinated by Eurecat - Centro TecnolĂłgico, has just concluded after three years of work.
These efforts have demonstrated the effectiveness of new self-assessment, self-protection and healing tools for the cooperative, connected and automated mobility.
What sets SELFY PROJECT apart is its ability to detect over 95% of vulnerable vehicles and over 90% of security flaws, while preserving the confidentiality and integrity of autonomous mobility systems.
đ Key Takeaways:
Pilot tests in Catalonia, Spain, and Vienna, Austria, validated critical scenarios, such as detecting hacked vehicles and protecting sensitive data in real time. Thanks to SELFY PROJECT, we have improved the perception and response to security incidents without compromising confidentiality, a significant step forward for the safety of autonomous vehicles.
đ€ Involvement of CRF (Canon Research Centre France)
CRF contributed its expertise in roadside cameras and artificial intelligence, which was crucial for the success of real-world demonstrations. Their technology enabled monitoring the consistency between images and CCAM messages, ensuring precise detection of inconsistencies and strengthening the security of infrastructures.
đ What's Next?
The SELFY PROJECT paves the way for large-scale adoption of these technologies in Europe. We are eager to continue innovating and collaborating with new partners to make our roads safer and our vehicles smarter.
